Jason's Birthday Weekend Extravaganza

Jason's birthday weekend started out in the wee hours of the morning on Saturday. After playing two softball games and getting home around midnight, we got up in the morning and hurried off to Tahoe City to meet Aaron, Christina, and Chappy around 8 am. We grabbed some grub at Syd's Bagels and jumped on Chappy's boat to do some wake surfing. Tahoe was gorgeous. The weather was warm and the winds calm. Aaron, Christina, and Chappy surfed first because the boat was setup for the goofy stance. Next, it was Jason's turn followed by me. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that I am typing this (Danielle) not Jason! Anyway, Jason had a great time surfing showing off his skills! After my attempt at surfing we cruised over to Chamber's Landing where we did some birthday tequila shots and drank a few Chamber's punches (rum drinks). Next we grabbed some more grub and then motored over the Meek's Bay for a nice swimming session. After cooling off in the water we took a tour of Emerald Bay. On the way back to Tahoe City we stopped on last time to cool off in the water since we had to turn around and pick up Chappy who had jumped ship. After arriving back on land, we thanked Chappy for the wonderful day and headed down the the Fat Cat Deli for dinner. We were all feeling pretty fried or as Aaron said "like a baked potato" from the day of intense sun, but we wouldn't let that stop us. We made a quick stop at Safeway and drove to Watson's Lake for a night of camping. The moon was incredibly bright, which kept us from viewing the meteor shower. Waking up to the sun in the morning, we packed up and went for a little off-road adventure. What we thought was the way back to Tahoe City, ended up being a logging road that turned into a sketchy downhill rocky ride. We finally turned around and headed back to the previous turn off which was the correct way to Tahoe City. It was about an hour detour, but fun nonetheless. After grabbing breakfast at the Dam Cafe, we said goodbye to Aaron and Christina and headed back down the hill to Reno. Jason, I hope you had a terrific birthday!!!!!
